MemberSomebody gave away protein drinks, but I wasn’t sure how to calculate. Is there a way to know if something is not on the plan?

MemberHi, SkinnyLynn. You can tell if something does not fit this program by looking at the ingredients label. If the product contains any overly processed or refined items or artificial additives, it does not fit. We encourage whole, natural foods and ingredients. Protein drinks are usually not a good choice here, and can work against your efforts – though not all are created equal, and good ones can be better than nothing. If you want to use the ones you received, can you post here the name of it? Thanks.

Memberhello from Gailypoo.
This is absolutely too much food for me? I cant keep up with eating that much and feel overly stuffed when I do. Can I cut back the fruits to 2 per day and the starches a little and still be nutritionally sound. I’m 64 working two jobs, and its too much. Can I replace maybe the snacks with an atkins shake?March 14, 2019 at 3:43 pm #42876Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Gail. I just responded to another post of yours, without seeing this one and realizing that being pressed for time is part of why you want the shakes. As I noted there, Atkins is a bit more processed and artificial than we would recommend, but there are products out there that may suit you. A better choice would be food-based and contain more natural ingredients, such as Vega One (https://myvega.com/products/vega-protein-shake; also available in powder form to mix in a thermos or bottle – https://myvega.com/products/vega-one-shake.

MemberHi I just joined last night and am trying to get through all the information. I’m a little overwhelmed with it all. My meal planner seems like a lot of food for me. I had thyroid cancer years and once they took out my thyroid I have been struggling to lose the weight I gained. Is there anyone out there without a thyroid who has had success with trim down? I would appreciate hearing any advice anyone has. Thanks

MemberHi, retiredteach10. There are quite a few people in this program with hypothyroid. Are you receiving thyroid replacement therapy? That can make a big difference. If you are and still struggling, please do repost, and I would be happy to work with you.

MemberHi Ossie-Sharon. I am on synthroid. I had lost 40 pounds on a weight loss program and kept it off for 10 years. Once my thyroid was removed I gained back those 40 pounds. Nothing seems to work for me now.

MemberI signed up 4/1 at night so it started me on that day. day 2 and 3 I had not been to the store, so I am a little behind on my menu days. I think I have the menu all figure out now, and have stocked my kitchen. However, I finally see where it went to LC, LS for week 7 and 8. It is a little overwhelming even after watching the videos. My question is will my late start affect the 8 week program goals…whew lol. I recently had surgery for hernia repair and 2 weeks post op. I still have some swelling. I am excited to have my menus done as I’m a poor food prepper for 1 person…thanks you

KeymasterHi, lhillman46. No need to jump in headfirst – you absolutely can just ease into things, and make gradual changes.

Memberlhillman46. How are you even seeing past week 1? You mentioned something about week 7 and 8. I am trying to look ahead to see what’s to come and grocery shop.

MemberI see it under the plan menu. I highlighted the multiple green square. All it shows is the weeks 1 through 8 but no daily menu. It does show whether it is LS or LC in one of the columns

KeymasterHi, lhillman46. I have forwarded your query to tech support. Someone will look into it and get back to you soon.

MemberReply to What Topic exactly? This is confusing and frustrating, having just signed up, it was next to impossible to start quickly as there are so many things to look into. For instance it has taken me 3 days and paging through these Forums to find out what “SWG” means on My Menu! The online program is not very “User Friendly” to someone who has not worked with this type of nutritional exchanges before.
Also, there is a “Welcome Letter?” You might want to include a “Quick Start Guide”. ThanksApril 6, 2019 at 12:14 pm #43029TrimDownClub
KeymasterHi, Trimdownkim. There is a Quick Start Guide in “My Guides” – you can access it by entering your purchases and downloading it. If you have any other questions, I am happy to help.
Meanwhile, I am forwarding your suggestions to the tech development team. - AuthorPosts
