A Trail Mix made up of a combination of nuts, seeds and dried fruits is often mentioned as an option for on-the-go type snacks, but I can’t find how much one serving would be and what the exchange would be. Please help?

Hi I just downloaded the program, 3 min ago but I have a question. when I clicked on recipes for Breakfast, they all said Keto, I did not sign up for Keto plan.

Hi, rocd. Each 2 tablespoons of trail mix (without chocolate pieces) is 1/2 carb + 1 fat exchange.

Hi, Evalen. The keto recipes are simply the most recently added. Just keep scrolling down or clicking “page down” (“PgDn”) until you see “ABC Green Smoothie” – from then on are regular recipes.

Hi I a new, just started yester, well not started as yet. I won’t be starting until Sunday, as I have some meals made up until then, I like to cook a meal for 4 and eat one and put the other 3 in the ref. for the next 3 days, I know it sounds silly, but I find it better and I only cook every 5 days. I can’t waste the meals, but I have been trying to do Trim Down club breakfast to kind of get started. I also have been just going over all the stuff here and reading a lot of community threads, Sunday I will be doing the 8 day things, I hope that is ok. I just doing a learning curve right now. I have read a lot of reviews and can’t wait to get started. I am trying this program, because I have lost some weight, but have come to a place where I am afraid of food, dinging myself of any snacks, I am afraid to have them in the house, so I need help on that end also. I do believe in Clean Eating, and like the idea. I am praying that is is my answer to a healthier life style, I am kind of slow getting started on healthy life style, as I am 78 and will be 79 in Oct. Someone said to me why are trying to lose weight at your age. I laughed and said I want to die healthy. LOL. I guess I just want to feel better and be able to do more. Well hope to see everyone around.

Hi, Evalen. Your approach is excellent! That’s exactly how we hope Clubmembers ease into this program. Thanks so much for posting that advice, and know that we are happy to help however we can.

Well today is my very first day. I just started the 8 weeks. I was so happy to hear that you can eat every 3 t0 4 hours and can add some of the snack foods to your meal. I was a little worried about Friday and Sunday, as it is kind of hard to eat during a Ladies Prayer time, bible study and while the Pastor preaches. I’m sure his next sermon would be addressing that LOL, So I am off to a slow and easy start, not stressing myself out. I have a few more videos to watch and to make up at least one meal plan that I like, As I will be using it for 4 days. Hope everyone is doing well. The only thing is I can’t seem to find a active group, not sure where everyone is, but it kind of seems like everyone has left. Maybe I am not joining right, all I see is so snd so just jointd but I cannot find any post. Perhaps I will start a group and see what happens if I can find out how. or not.

I am a newbie, just started today. I have noticed many of the recipes list macro breakdowns, such as 1 carb, 2 prot, 1 fat. I have read all of the guides and I am wondering if there is a guide to a breakdown of what macros should be eaten at each meal/snack?

When I try to use the menu planner, it seems like the foods are plain, for example it will say to eat some type of protein, chicken, beef, pork but I’m wondering how to incorporate a recipe into the menu planner. Or am I just supposed to eat plain meats?

Can I add a recipe to the menu planner?

    #43753

Hi, Laurie. You can see the exchanges allotted to you by clicking on the “Exchange mode.” The foods listed are in generic form specifically so that you can prepare them as you wish, guided by the healthy cooking ideas in our recipes. The exchanges per serving are listed at the ends of most of the recipes, and you can match them to yours. That’s the way to “add” a recipe to your menu.

So can I actually add a recipe to the menu to show up on my meal planner? And if I add some recipes I may have to remove something else on that meal and I don’t see how I can do that.

In relation to the last question, is there a way to add something to the meal planner that isn’t automatically auto populated?

Hi, Laurie. You can’t add the recipe to the Menu Planner – just make it as representative of the foods in your menu.
