MemberCan you have coffee or tea?
November 3, 2019 at 7:01 pm #44159Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, dbjorge. Tea and coffee are fine as is – just be wise about what you add to it, avoiding artificial creamers and sweeteners. We recommend Stevia, erythritol, or combinations as sweeteners, and regular dairy or unsweetened plant-based non-dairy milky beverages for whiteners. If you use heavy cream, note that anything above a couple of teaspoons needs to be counted as a fat exchange.

MemberSorry I meant any fruits.
ThanksNovember 5, 2019 at 5:38 pm #44192Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, kemason2610. Only cucumber is low enough in sugar to be able to be used as “free.” Among the sweet fruits, cantaloupe and raspberries are lower in sugar than others, and you can have more than others (i.e., 1.5 cups instead of 1 cup) – so you can use that 1/2 cup as a “free” snack.

MemberHi im new to this. Can we make our own menus?
November 6, 2019 at 3:48 pm #44203Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Qu33N. You can make the system give you three main meals per day, by taking the following steps:
1. Click on the “Exchange mode” icon in the toolbar above your menu, and take note of the exchanges you are allotted for each snack.
2. After returning to normal mode, click on the circular arrow icon to the right of each major meal header.
3. Once you are in the subapplication that pops up, you can build your major meals from scratch, using the meal+snack exchange numbers to guide you (ignore anything in red telling you that you have exceeded your limit, of course). It is recommended to incorporate the exchanges from the next meal into the present one – i.e., breakfast+snack #1, lunch+snack #2, and dinner+snack #3.
4. Since snacks cannot be completely deleted, to make a cleaner-looking menu put something simple in each of the snack menus such as “Vegetables of Your Choice”November 6, 2019 at 4:39 pm #44204Qu33N

November 9, 2019 at 11:08 pm #44240Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Jbstreet. Click on “Exchange View” in the toolbar above our menu to see the calorie amounts for each macronutrient, which for you total 5% carbohydrate, 20% protein, and 75% fat.
