MemberHi, Mellissab1. The easiest way to master it is to understand the exchange system, which is much like that used by diabetes and dietetics associations. To see the exchanges allotted to you, just click on the “Exchange View” button above your menu. Then you can just substitute another recipe in our collection that has exchanges similar to those in the dish you don’t want (it doesn’t have to be a perfect match), or substitute for something else – see the exchange lists here: http://www.trimdownclub.comm/exchange-lists. For example, you can just have two pieces of toast with a little butter plus an egg instead of the quiche or pizza.

MemberThere are certain foods that I just don’t ever purchase i.e., mussels. Can I remove these types of foods from my menu? If so, I would need to know how to do this. Thank you

MemberHi, Mariegrahamacracker. Of course! I would recommend to replace them with something from the same food group (e.g., fatty fish here, such as salmon).

MemberHello, I’m brand new as of today and looking around trying to get a feel for the site. My menu doesn’t look like keto should I change anything to be sure it’s low carb for keto?

MemberHi, Efriday. Be sure that “keto” is selected in the “Dietary Needs” are of your profile, then generate a new menu.

MemberIs there a special keto diet for type 2 diabetes. My sugarckevels tend to drop after two hours of taking my medication and I wat sugary things to bring it up

MemberHi, Oreo13. The keto diet is fundamentally very, very low in carbohydrates. It is often used by diabetics for that reason, but if your sugar levels tend to drop, you may do better with our regular low-carbohydrate route, which is a more flexible and balanced plan for diabetics.

MemberHello!
I’m starting the diet tomorrow. I’m the menu for the 8 week plan it’s only providing and option for the 3rd snack. Do I just select from option for that snack to determine the other two? Also, is there a time recommended to start eating, how long in between meals and when to stop?
Thanks for your help!January 6, 2020 at 12:10 am #44668Ossie-Sharon

MemberOk thank you!
So just following the menu options for the 8 week plan and eating the 3 snacks as listed is all I need to worry about to stay on plan? Along with water consumption of course and exercise.January 6, 2020 at 12:53 am #44670Ossie-Sharon
