MemberI am new, and wondering if I can combine this program with my intermittent fasting approach. I fast 16 hours and my food window is 8. Do I need to eat all of these meals or can I eat 2 as I’m currently doing.
Thanks..February 9, 2020 at 6:53 am #45125Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, SandySandy. Yes, you can eat a little less. To have the system calculate new menus for you, change the weight in your profile to 148 lbs, then generate a new menu by clicking on the plus sign button in your menu area.
To download the 14-day plan, which provides less food as well, enter the “My Downloads” area (link at the upper right of each site page), then enter the first group of downloads available to you – scroll down, and you will see the plan for downloading.February 9, 2020 at 6:56 am #45126Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Srb22. We recommend at least three meals per day, so you can fold the snack into an earlier meal like lunch or dinner. No problem.

MemberHello, I am on the go quite often and dont have much time to cook. Are there any pre made keto meals that I can purchase
February 9, 2020 at 6:50 pm #45131Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Bunni50. You can try any of these – https://www.womenshealthmag.com/weight-loss/g25671596/keto-meal-delivery/.
Also, you can change over to the more flexible regular low-carbohydrate route for the personal version of the Menu Planner, then just tweak it to be keto. You can do this by deselecting “keto” in the “Dietary Needs” section of your profile (lower right area), then generating a new menu. Once you have the template, click on the edit tool at the upper right of each meal, then make your food selections – you will be guided by the meal pattern, which you can make keto through the following substitutions:
* For each carbohydrate exchange, use two fat exchanges
* For each fruit exchange, use a vegetable exchange (unless you use low-carbohydrate fruits like cantaloupe, casava melon, raspberries, or strawberries.
* For a fruit exchange, use an ounce of dark chocolate (preferably 70% or higher cocoa solids) or a 125-calorie portion of one of our keto desserts.
The foods are intentionally fairly generic, so that you can prepare them as you wish, still following the keto principles exhibited in our recipes. You can see what foods are considered to be keto supportive here.If you prefer fewer meals per day as in the keto plan, you can add exchanges from the unwanted snacks to your other meals. Note that since the system wants something at every meal, you can just add a random item like “Vegetables of Your Choice.”

MemberHI there. I am a new Trimmer. A little over 5 years ago I worked really hard and was able to get to my goal weight. Shortly after, there was some major life stressors that gradually had me adding the weight back on and some. Now I am in the Very Obese category. The true “ah ha” moments in the last 6 months is being put on blood pressure and cholesterol medications. It was a true eye opener. Plus I became engaged in December. So I have a wedding dress to fit into by July 2021. I have been sticking to my meal plan religiously, drinking a gallon of water and doing strengthing exercises daily. I feel so much better about myself already. Much more energy and no desire to drink diet soda. My only question is…I finding at times that when it comes to snack time, I’m not hungry for it. So you have any advise on how to handle that? Also what time would you recommend the evening snack be eaten? I have been doing 7:30 as I eat dinner at 5:30. Trying to do meals/snacks every 2 hours.

MemberHi, Squirrel17, and congratulations on your accomplishments! If you’re not hungry, don’t push it. Just be sure to tuck any produce or calcium-rich foods into the next meal.

MemberHi, LindaSue1313. You can do any of our routes in that time window, if you wish. If you would like help with adjusting your menu, just let us know.

MemberHi newbie here when it says protein in 3 oz beef chicken turkey excetera is that cooked or raw.
And how do you figure out cooking for your husband at the same time is there a way to I don’t know double the recipes I guess or triplet it, some days I can’t figure out what to feed him. Lucky when I started this already made a big pot of turkey chili so I kind of cheated for my first three days for my dinner but I only had a cup and a half of chili for dinner and either the vegetable or fruit that was in the menu for that day I guess I’ll have to make him some big pots of food he could lose a few pounds to LOL at least I only have to worry about him for dinner time

MemberHi, Masks44. The meat, fish, poultry, etc. amounts in the menus are raw, while the grain and legume products are cooked/baked.
To get your husband’s serving size, I just need the following information…age, height, weight, activity level…and I will get back to you with the proportion of your menu that he needs.February 28, 2020 at 2:44 am #45302Masks44
