MemberHi, Inspired12. I’m happy to help. Note that you don’t need to use our recipes if you don’t want – just get ideas for healthy cooking techniques. You can also get those from our main Program Guide (you can download this through the “My Guides” link in the toolbar near the top of each site page). Please do take advantage of the swap functions (edit tools) near any food item you don’t want, or any meal that you want to completely simplify. If you would like specific information, please let me know.
I can also help direct you regarding site issues. What is confusing?
Thanks.April 24, 2020 at 4:20 pm #45555Hiatus
MemberIs a 12oz glass of vegetable juice considered skipping breakfast?

MemberHi, Hiatus. If it is made from non-starchy vegetables and has no added sugar, then yes.

MemberHello. I am completely overwhelmed with this program. I made my menu for one week and pretty much stuck with it. I was bored out of my mind with the food choices. I am confused with the recipes. Can I use recipes that are provided and how does that fit into the meal plan or does it? If I want try a pizza recipe you have for my lunch, does that take the place of lunch on my meal plan? If I want to start over with my choices can I do that? I just want to quit at this point. Also I cannot find the app for this plan.
Help pleaseApril 27, 2020 at 9:23 pm #45580Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, DJack35. What is it about the menus do you find boring? Is it the variety or the types of foods? Note that you can make swaps by using the nearby edit tools. To take advantage of our recipes, you can use them to substitute for the main ingredient in your meal. You can also match up the exchanges visible at the end of each recipe with the exchanges allotted to you (which you can see when you click on “Exchange View” in the toolbar above your menu). It doesn’t need to be a perfect match to work.
To get the a app, look up the website on your smartphone search engine, enter, and you will see the option to download the app.
If you have additional questions, please do repost here, and I will get back to you.April 27, 2020 at 11:13 pm #45582roonie

Memberhi i need to see the food amounts in grams, not ounces. How do i do that? my settings in my profile are on kg and cm, but that doesn’t change anything. i cannot constantly look up and exchange ounces for grams.

MemberHi, Roonie. You can start with any day you want, use them in any order you want, and even repeat them as often as you want.

MemberHi Can I switch meals? for example lunch and dinner? or the two snack? or does the food have to be eaten in the order you put them?

MemberHi another question: can I take a carb, for example, from my snack and add it to my lunch and just not eat a carb for my snack?

Memberand my last question for today 🙂
sometimes there is way too much food (usually carbs). if i eat it all, i will gag, literally. as long as i am sated, can i take something off? and if i do, which food group should it come from?April 29, 2020 at 8:59 am #45599Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, SandySandy. You can switch meals as often as you like, and even repeat whole days. Unless you you don’t have a condition that is sensitive to carbohydrates (diabetes, prediabetes, fatty liver, high triglycerides, etc.), we recommend not having more than 3 servings of a starchy carbohydrate at a meal – but if your body does not react badly, you can switch around as you like (just don’t load up too much at night, unless that’s when you are physically active).
With regard to your last question, the starchy carbohydrate items are the ones that you can cut back on. Will that work for you? I’m glad to read that you are so in tune with your satiety signals!April 29, 2020 at 9:18 am #45600SandySandy
Memberand wine. is there any way to have a glass of red wine once a week? once a month? Happy 72nd Independence Day to Israel today!

MemberHi, SandySandy. Happy Yom HaAtzmaut! Yes, dry red wine is fine in moderation – a 130 ml glass is considered a serving, and can substitute for your evening snack.
