MemberHi, ciokolomokolo. We generally recommend at least three meals a day, but we do offer a route in which one of those meals is a smaller snack. Even if you don’t call that intermittent fasting, that’s our route that likely will ensure your nutritional needs are being met while your menu is most comfortable for your lifestyle. To get this, just select it in your profile, then generate a new menu. You can ignore the scheduling recommendations (number of hours to fast, for example), of course.

MemberWow, just hope I can do this. I usually don’t eat nearly this much food, and I hat cooking….most of stuff doesn’t come out. I’m trying to stay away from processed food, so guess I’ll have to learn.
Also, I think will be more than I can afford……
I’ll give it a try though, best I can.
I don’t see how one can loose weight with this.May 3, 2020 at 6:57 pm #45634Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Bengalady. The goal is to keep you from being hungry – don’t worry about getting in all of the starchy carbohydrates if you start to feel too full. It’s better that you’re in touch with your hunger and satiety signals.
Note that you don’t need to buy expensive versions of foods to make this work – those are just recommendations for an ideal. As long as you use relatively whole, minimally processed foods without artificial ingredients, you will be benefiting. You also don’t need to use fancy recipes – simple steaming, roasting, and sauteing in olive oil with herbs and spices is absolutely plenty. If you would like more guidance with this, please do repost here, and I will get back to you.May 3, 2020 at 7:56 pm #45637Bengalady

MemberHi I don’t believe it but I have actually lost weight even though i was sure that i was eating WAY too much.Yeah!!
So two questions. just want to make sure that i am doing this right.
1. i can save my fruit from one of the meals and use it with my night snack of milk to make a shake.
2. i can delete one slice of bread from the day so i won’t explode 🙂
3. if all my menus look the same, i can use the circle on the side of each meal to switch the entire meal automatically.
4. real question: can i use cow’s milk instead of goat’s milk – don’t know what it is and cannot get it anywhere (certainly not when i’m stuck at home with this corona virus)
Thank you!May 4, 2020 at 11:12 am #45641Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, SandySandy, and congratulations! Yes to all of your questions. We want the plan to be comfortable for you.

MemberHi, SandySandy. Yes, I saw the questions – great ones that can help everyone. You can do what you suggested there.

MemberHi, SandySandy. It is indeed recommended that you update your weight so you can track your progress – but especially if it changes significantly. When you lose a significant amount of weight, that is when it is best to enter the new one and regenerate your menus altogether (through the “+” sign), so that you get an adjusted amount of food if your new weight moves you into a new category.

Memberyes, but not on my profile. i enter the weight every week on the progress meter, correct?
what i am talking about is – my profile. the weight constantly changes even though i never change it. why?May 5, 2020 at 7:36 pm #45658megmiller77
MemberQuestion: I do IF and my fasting period goes longer for whatever reason and I skip lunch. Do I still need to account for all the exchanges during dinner/snack, or just let them go? Also, is there a way to balance out a negative exchange (i.e If I eat Grapefruit for snack when it doesn’t call for a fruit so I have a -1 for fruit exchange.) I would like to follow to a “T” but started this 2 days after grocery haul and I can’t justify wasting all the produce I purchased . Thanks!

MemberHi, megmiller77. At the risk of loading up at the end of the day, it is still better if you get at least most of your exchanges in daily – that way you meet your basic nutritional needs (though once in a while missing something isn’t the end of the world, of course). Having an extra serving of fruit is fine – just be sure to pay attention to your blood sugar levels if you are a diabetic, of course. We definitely wouldn’t want you to waste good produce!
