Hi, CatDRyan. You absolutely can switch meals. You also have the option of much simpler meals, if you wish. Just click on the edit tool that appears next to a recipe, and when you get the pop-up list of alternatives, scroll to the end and select meal “ideas.” Those include basic, quick options.

are green peas a vegetable? it only has snow peas on the list and i don’t know what that is. free or limited?

    #45730

Hi, SandySandy. Regular peas are considered a carbohydrate here (they are starchy vegetables). Snow peas are mostly the pod, so they are a green vegetable – not “free,” but definitely green: one cup raw (or 1/2 cup cooked) is a vegetable exchange. For regular green peas, 3/4 cup is a carbohydrate exchange.

on the recipe for keto bread it calls for xantham gum? what is that and where can I find that?

    #45755

Hi, achavez108. Xanthan gum helps with the binding and texture of products. You can find it at gourmet shops or in the baking section of some regular supermarkets. You can also order it online, including through major websites like Amazon.

help!! i just deleted menu#12 and i don’t know what to eat tomorrow Sunday. Can you get it back to me? or at least sunday’s menu? 🙁
if not, i guess i can just use a menu from one of the other days this week. i copy each one once it’s finalized and/or the day is over.

Hi, SandySandy. I have forwarded your query to tech support. Someone will get back to you soon.

Meanwhile, you absolutely can use the menu from another day.

How important are vegetables to this diet? i know they are important because of vitamins and minerals (which i get anyway from vitamin supplements) and also to make you feel sated, which i am without them. but – i am struggling with them and i have tried many different kinds. I’m great with proteins and the 2 fruits. carbs are usually too much for me. but the veggies are really a struggle.

Hi, SandySandy. Vegetables are important to general nutrition, which makes them important for any plan. We are particularly interested in good nutrition and health here. If you don’t like vegetables, try sneaking them into your other foods. For example, tomato sauce for pasta counts as a vegetable, as does vegetable soup. If you want, you can swap one of the vegetables for a low-carbohydrate fruit like cantaloupe, strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries.

Hi Ossie-Sharon, Are artichokes considered vegetables or starch? Tomatoes-are they veggies or fruit?

    thank you again.

    #45779

Hi, joycesevere16. Artichokes are considered a starch, and tomatoes are considered to be a vegetable here (even though it’s technically a fruit, of course).

Hi, SandySandy. About 2/3 cup of tomato juice is a vegetable exchange. Yes, one cup of sweet potato is 200 grams.

Hello. I am new to this one week in to be precise. I find that some of the meals that say 1 serving is still a bit much for me to eat (I can not finish all the food) is that okay? Or do i have to eat the whole meal? Would that mess up the ketogenesis is I can not consume every bite of food?

When you are fasting do you eat nothing at all? I’m diabetic and can’t just not eat at all.
