MemberHi, Amira1971. No, that won’t mess up ketogenesis. What risks ketogenesis is not having more fat than carbohydrates+protein. Our meals are balanced so that this is not a risk.

MemberHi, Vieceli. Yes, the concept of intermittent fasting is that you don’t eat anything at all during the fasting period (you can drink water, of course). It may be better for you to consider our regular low-carbohydrate route, which provides three main meals plus three snacks in between – designed with diabetics in mind. To access this, just deselect the fasting option in your profile, then generate a new menu.

MemberIs anyone tracking their ketones using strips? I started and it’s showing moderate levels. I also see a lot of the recipes I choose are Health Level 4 – is that bad and there are better options or is it good for what I’m trying to do? I am doing IF, but just started a couple of days ago.

MemberHi, Maeve19. Yes! You can click on the edit tool to the immediate right of any item you don’t way, then select a replacement from the pop-up list. At the ends of the lists are “ideas” options that give you even more selection for personalization.

MemberHi, YesONMYWAY. In your profile, check out the “dietary needs” area – you will see an option for “keto” or “personalized.” The latter is low-carb.

MemberHi, Shefali08. You choose the 8 hour period when you eat – preferably during hours in which you are most active – and fast for the remaining 16 hours. You sleep as you normally would. Our menus display what and how much you should be eating. To generate a menu, click on the “My Menus” link on the home page, then on the plus sign. Before you do that, do be sure to select the fasting option in your profile (in the “dietary needs” area).

MemberHi Ossie – I am very very frustrated. I have been following this program EXACTLY for 6 weeks (except for our one day holiday, when I ate ravioli, pizza and cheese cake. But only one portion of each and only on one day), just starting my seventh week. I have lost a total of 700 gm. The menus do not change even though I put in my weight every week and it is clear that something has to be done, like maybe changing the types or amounts of food. I’m not hungry but this is not working!! Please look at my menus and tell me what to do before I give up. I follow everything exactly even if it’s too much food. I am also exercising twice a week and walking.HELP!!!

MemberHi, Shefali08. You can get ideas from the video clips in our “8-Week Program” (accessible through the “Tools” link in the toolbar near the top of this page) toward the ends of the pages for Weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7. You can also get more more information through program upgrades. If you are interested in these, you can reach out to Customer Service through the “Contact Us” link at the bottom left of this page.

MemberHi, pgumbs. No, our Keto Guacamole Burger is a 4-oz burger with 1/4 cup of guacamole. You can get a sense of portion sizes by checking out the ingredients list and comparing the amounts there to the number of portions the recipe makes.
