well I did my shopping and wasnt too bad. I got my fruit and vegetbales and plenty of fresh stuff too. I also got my bread – well actually go wraps – I am moving slowly away from white bread. I hae been buying wraps from the cafe at work instead of sandwhiches or rolls.

but I will make my own this week so I got some tuna and skinless chicken breast to cook to fill will lots of salad fillings,

Chaning my diet this week to eating more salads etc at lunch I am finding I stayed full a lot quicker and didnt go for any afternoon sweet or fatty snacks.

Well its only the first week. But I am wanting to keep going

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is very cold and we have 10cms snow in the West Midlands, UK. Our dogs love romping in the snow, especially our 10 month old puppy.

It is the first time in twelve years that we have wintered in the UK. We usually go to Spain, returning in April. What have we done?

At least the cold weather makes for a brisk walk in the woods and everywhere looks so beautiful. No loitering today.

Hey Ginnerlou…goodmorning love….try me now…I have just changed my setting so you can find me…well it should work now. I will change it back after you find me.
Feeling for all those UK friends who are freezing now! Hope you are okay Dawnrosie?
I just saw your post Awayagain4…yes! What have you done?…sounds lovely for you to have it like that after 12 years! But if it gets worse, you may hear Spainish guitars softly playing!!! I love the snow…as long as I can keep warm!!! I lived in Invercargill NZ for 11.5 years…came home to Australia 11 years ago next month! It snowed twice while we were there, and once was Christmas…not enough that day to get too excited about though. The first time, I was sitting writing letters around midnight, and noticed the quietness. Realising it wasn’t because the family were asleep, I looked up at the windows and saw the snow falling past the street light! Was pretty exciting for a North Queenslander, so I woke the family so they wouldn’t miss watching it fall…we ran around the street throwing snowballs at eachother and made a snowman! The neighbours woke up in the morning to find our prints everywhere! They had a good laugh at us crazy Aussies!
cntwall, just check in your menu for another alternative love. Should be something in there for you to pick from. Don’t know where you are, but someone will be able to help you later when they all wake up..hehe…I don’t have those things on my lists.I haven’t got butter on my list, as I use olive oil, or an olive oil spread. The raw butter and milk aren’t too well used at this stage. Yes it can be a bit boring.I had to play with my menu a few times to get what I am using. Hope it all goes well…

Hey Dawn…good to see you. Glad you are okay…the news here was that south of London was copping it, but then I was in the kitchen and my husband was no help with the info as he was falling asleep in front of the TV!! Been working the garden most of the day in the heat…poor fella. Hope you can sort those finances out Dawn. When do actually move in?

Hey Kelz1973….meant to comment to you before. Glad it all worked well with the shopping…I have gone away from bread altogether…eating Ryvita crispbreads instead, sometimes a wrap or pita bread when the grandkids are here for a meal. They love chicken wraps!!! I am eating lots of salads too….instead of hot vegies…to hot at present for them…and tuna and chicken. I’m finding it quite easy, except fitting the everything in…timewise I mean…today I ended up with no lunch, and didn’t realise!!! Ah well! Anyway, it is good to have so many people around us (in cyberspace) to cheers eachother on! Keep up the good work Kelz…Bev.

Hello all! i am new to this diet too and have been on it for two weeks. I have only lost 2 lbs. Is it going to be this slow or is it just me?

    #6722

Yes, it will be slow, and that’s a good thing! It means the results will last longer.

Hi everyone, I am new to this .I am type 2 diabetic.Have started this two days ago.Think I may need to watch my fruit and bread on this.I have to be pretty rigid to keep my sugar in control.

Hi folks, I have also started to move away from bread, I have half a bagel and an egg for breakfast – these take me through to 11 M rather than being hungry at 9 am. I have found the rice cakes are good, i even have them with homemade vegetable curry.
Today I have been out with my husband clearing the snow off the drive and the lane. Hopefully I will be able to get to the main road tomorrow as I have to collect my son from his dads.
    Welcome bizzylizzy,.
Hi awayagain4′, I’m in Berkshire now, but grew up in the midlands, my family still live there, I was catching up with my sister yesterday about the snow there

Hello everyone. Great news. I have lost one more pound. This is great. I am having so much with this program. I gave my daughter a serving of squash omelet this morning and she liked it. I don’t think it is going to be too hard to switch the family over to eating the right way. I have already taught them at an early age to like fruit and vegetables. This makes it more acceptable for them when I use these ingredient for there meals. I have always liked the healthy food, I just never new how to put them together in a healthy way. Thank you Trim Down Club. And thank you all of my cruise members. This truly is a tight ship. Take care everyone and I will keep you up dated. Total of 13 pounds lost in the first two weeks.

    Hi everyone!

I just joined this week. I have been watching my weight forever. Last year I stopped drinking beer because I had a Gout flare up. Also, I stopped drinking orange juice. I was able to bring my weight down to 185 pounds from 203 pounds. My BMI is still too high and I need to bring my weight down to 173 pounds. I learned last December that my cholesterol levels are too high. That’s a bad combination since I am already being treated for high blood pressure (2 pills a day). Thanks Ossie for your advice for simplifying the menus. It’s much easier to manage now. Also I find that I can substitute some snacks and even lunch with dinner. I hope to reach my goal before the summer. I hurt my right foot several times and that hinders my exercise program. However, I am confident that I will reach my objectives in 2013. So congratulations to all of you and keep up the good work.

Welcome Radisson. You are going to love this program. Keep us updated and we are here for you if you have any questions. We will all try our best to help you out. Anna
