MemberHi, Montana63. In the Menu Planner, there are items that have the cereal and milk together, but other than that, if you use non-fat/skim milk and are not a diabetic, you can add up to a cup without any real impact on the diet.

MemberHi Ossie,
I just read your reply to Montana63 about milk on cereal. Can you please expand on your comment re being diabetic and having milk, as I am diabetic. Is there anything special I need to know for your diet.
Thanks, YvonneJanuary 22, 2013 at 11:38 am #7008Ossie-Sharon
MemberTyson uses powerful antibiotics in their products, so they can’t really be recommended here. Costco has a pretty good system for screening their meat, and get most of their meat from Niman Ranch (generally quite free from undesirable additives), so I would go with that. Just try to get the leanest possible.

MemberHi, Yvonne. Each cup of milk contains 12 grams of carbohydrates, nearly a whole ADA carb exchange – therefore, it is best to count it among your total carbs (you don’t want extras to add up without compensating with insulin or meds).

MemberHello all. Sorry been a bit quiet the last couple of days. Just busy with life. But i am still eating well. Still making tiny changes. I am loving wrapping. I just find they fill me so much better than bread. And i am filling them right up.
Well its been a busy day and time for me to head to bed.
Another nice day tomorrow. Not too hot and not too cold. Oh and some nice scenery too. We have the Toud Down Under on at the moment. For those who don’t know its a cycling event a bit like the Tour de France. Not as gruelling. We have some of the worlds top cyclists here. And lets just say a bit if eye candy is always good. At least this candy does not go on the hips. He he
Ok of to the land of dreams i go.
Night all.

MemberHi. I am a “Newbie”. After looking at the menus presented to me, it is almost impossible for me to follow them….some of the stuff I have never even heard of and I am not willing to cook specific items just to meet a menu. If I drink all the water they suggest in a day, I’ll be doing Joe Theisman commercials. I’m 71 in basic good health with a nice set of rolls around the middle and I’m going to need a training bra pretty soon. What can I do?

MemberI’m a « newbie » too and quite agree with you – I suppose we need to choose the food that we like to eat very carefully and when we like to eat it too. Im going to choose a little differently before getting the final menu – I’ll fail otherwise… and the aim is to lose kilos, get healthy and find energy

MemberHi, Apensa. Just stick with low-fat, unprocessed, whole, fresh foods, and you should do fine.

MemberHi Lisafab, apensa, & joanneruffani good to see more on board the healthy eating plan. Good luck to you all on your personal program
I agree with Joanneruffani about your menu planner, it’s better to keep it simple to start with, things you know and like. Always look out for the other options when shopping and add them to your next menu planner.
LOL, Kelz1973, glad your getting some non-fattening candy 😀 and that your wrapping is a success…sweet dreams…you to Seaborn (thanks for such a good blether last night) and R2b2 sleep tight…hope you all have a great rest and awake full of jolly beans…glad it’s cooler for you all.
How are you Dawnrosie? how are you getting on with the move and with all the snow? thinking of you……Hope everyone in the uk is ok too.
How about your Annaleeramos, how are you getting on, tried any new recipes on your beautiful family?
How about everyone else…getting the results your looking for?

MemberHi I’m a newbie. I got here quite by accident, or by fate?! I was looking for an eating plan to go with Zenical/Orlistat medication that my GP prescribed. Unfortunately, we don’t have anything in the UK, so I ended up on a US site and then a link to here! Guess I was meant to find this. Well I’ve read up and educated myself on a few things and I know its not gonna be easy, but the time is right and I need to start a new lifestyle now. Today I started by eating breakfast, something I’ve never done! Tomorrow, my food shopping is being delivered so i’ll start the new foods and recipes….good job I like cooking! Anyway, waffled enough at the mo….. Anyone else on Orlistat/Zenical by any chance???? All the best…… Cheryl 🙂
