MemberApensa, indeed it is interesting that the husbands of women who include them in their dieting efforts here all seem to be about 6 ft tall, and weigh around 250 lbs! An interesting coincidence…:)

MemberHi y’all,
I’ve really enjoyed the conversation but not the flirting. I think I’ll give y’all a pass for right now, which I really hate to do but I’ll check back later.February 5, 2013 at 6:45 pm #8477maddistealfox
Memberhi Billilyn- yes it is a shame when someone says inappropriate things and also go off course…but don’t give up as this is a great thread for the info you need…and support….which really helps. 🙂

MemberBillylynn, sorry if I have said anything that might warrant at flirting, just incase. I come on here to read the thread about health eating plan, give my progress ect and see updates from how people are getting on and know I tend to rattle on, but that just me. I never intend to offend anyone.

MemberJACKIE…I would hardly think it was you…but I will join you in this…BILLYLYN, if I have behaved inappropriately on here, I am sorry. The last thing I would want is to see someone leave…whether it be over something I did, or for any other reason! As MADDISTEALFOX said, “don’t give up as this is a great thread for the info you need…and support….which really helps”.

MemberAnother small success tonight…I went to a meeting and chocolate cookies were served. I was NOT even tempted!
I hope everyone is enjoying this program as much as I am. The only thing I find that is hard for me is all the cooking. I’m on the go most of the day, dropping in and out of my home, but I’m trying to stick to the plan the best I can. Good Luck, Everyone! Hey, how do you get your picture on here?February 6, 2013 at 6:16 am #8508jackiee
MemberGood morning all,
Well done stegofun, for staying away from the chocolate cookies. I tend to bulk cook and put potions of snack in wee bags to grab on the go to. To down load a photo, click on your name at the top, which takes you into EDIT PROFILE, then click on the image where a photo can be put, this takes you onto the page where you can either download a photo directly from your computer, if this doesn’t work you would need to join GRAVATAR, and downlaod a picture there, which I had to do to get my photo on here, good luck.February 6, 2013 at 11:08 am #8514slimasharon
MemberHello all, I’m only 5 days in to the diet but finding it tough to eat so much. I’m a vegitarian so the menu planner puts in a lot of yoghurt for protein I assume, which I love, but not 36 oz a day! I know it can be changed to an alternative but there is not much by way of other option for me as I don’t eat cheese other than 0% cottage cheese. I’ve actually put on weight since starting. I know its early days but would like to see if others have had same problem and what to do about it. I am unused to eating breakfast and thats been tough – I know its better for health but just don’t feel like anything so early. I have made myself though and hope to greadually change my eating pattern. I have had a bad cold this week so maybe not the best time to start a new diet. By the way, I made the lemon and cheese muffins which were delicious (a bit too delicious!), will make again and try some variations such as adding dried chilli flakes or swapping basil for corriander leaf.
Best of health everyone.

MemberHi, SlimaSharon. Several people have indeed noted that it is a lot of food, often because they are used to diets based on deprivation. However, it is encouraged that you go with your satiety signals, and right-size your meals to your needs. Having said that, I would encourage you to be cautious not to eat too little so you don’t slow down your metabolism, and certainly don’t skimp during the early part of your day so that you are hungry and overtempted toward the end of your day, when you may be least active.
As for the large amounts of dairy products, sounds as though perhaps you didn’t check off enough options for protein, and so the Menu Planner is just overusing whatever you put. Have you tried other vegetarian protein sources? Examples: edamame, nuts (and vegan nut cheese), seeds, organic tofu, organic vegan yogurt, seitan, tempeh, etc?February 6, 2013 at 11:45 am #8522Yvonnebaker
MemberOssie thanks for your advice on quantities for my husband.
Hi Everyone,
Thought we would upload a picture of both my husband and myself as he is on the diet too.
We are still very positive and are enjoying the diet, our weight and shape are slowly changing for the better.
We are staying positive and as a diabetic I am thrilled by the reduction in my glucose levels, but having to watch that I don’t go too low, especially after exercise.
We are enjoying reading everyone’s progress and thank you all for the many tips we are finding.February 6, 2013 at 1:41 pm #8525clarks96
MemberHello to everyone,
it seems that something is not right on this plan. we have been following the plan and have gained 2 pounds in 2 days! Of course we are not happy with this. if anyone could give suggestions it would be helpful. also we would like to know the protein/carb/vegie ratio for us. I am 195, 5’6″, my husband is 217, 5’9″.
Does this plan have a money back guarantee in cause we can’t problem solve this?
thanks clarks96February 6, 2013 at 2:05 pm #8528CHIA
Memberstgeofun: Good for you 🙂 Keep up the good work! Being positive is a huge asset 🙂

MemberI made Quaker oatmeal in the slow cooker with water, milled flax seeds and a little salt. I know that the recipes on this site say use milk.
I just added a small banana, splenda, sprinkle of cinnamon and about an 1/8 cup of vanilla soy milk. It was so delicious!
Ossie can you let me know if this is a good example of a complete breakfast? I do not have organic yet, but will replace it eventually.

MemberI have the same issue I am brand new to this diet and have to force myself to eat 4 times a day let alone 6. I try to just snack on almonds and pecans just so I can say I had a snack. Between work and school eating 6 times is almost impossible.

MemberHi, Clark96. Whta are your physical activity levels? Have either of you been on diets before? What types? When was the most recent?
In addition to answers to these questions, it would be great if you could post sample days from the menus you received from the Menu Planner, and any adjustments either of you made. I will run some calculations, and get back to you. - AuthorPosts
