    Hi,

I am also new and I have just done the selection in the menu. To the question, would you like some recipies, lots of recipies etc.. I answered some recipies and the results were no recipies whatsoever. I tried to go back, but I can’t seem to go back to select more recipies. Anyone knows how to do it?

In regards to the foods, if you live in the UK.. you will find them in health shops.

I thought about asking for a refund too at first, but I realised its just nice to be able to talk to anyone about diet as my hubs hopeless, lives on chocalate and is stick thin, so i’m staying for the blogs and general comaraderie.. I started properly today and found the amount of food i’ve had today loads. My diets a little plain as I prefer vegetarian options, but things can be juggled about a bit, and its making me plan ahead rather than reaching for the nearest snack. so good luck to everyone and some of the blogs show weight loss after only a week…so thats incentive enough for me

Hi crappycat, good luck with your efforts to lose weight, I don’t have lupus, but i do have fybromyalgia which is another auto immune disease, but I’ve been doing Karate for the last two years and very rarely suffer with it these days, Exercise has made a big difference to my overall health, but I don’t lose weight through exercise, I need a healthy diet plan too, I’m looking to lose a few stone over the next six months.Look forward to reading your blogs and sharing tips

HI! Everyone!I am a newbie also, I just got my menu tonight. Some of the foods I really didn’t know what they are or where to get them.( that tells you how unhealthy I eat) What is SWG any way? I’m gonna give this an honest try and see what happens. It always helps to have other people in the same boat you are to talk to as you go along this journey. I look forward to meeting each and everyone of of you.Good Luck to ALL!!!

Hello to everyone new. I feel like this life boat has turned into a cruise ship! Marsha, SWG is sprouted whole grain. Usually found in bread or bread type products. I use Ezekiel breads which I find in the health food store in the freezer section. Hope this helps. Thanks everyone for posting. It helps to see others in the same situation. Patty

Wow, I’m amazed to see so many folks from the UK. I feel like the minority from the US. 😉

Hi Patty, Thank You! for the information, I will get the Bread. In some of the recipes it sounds like its a cracker or something because they are making a pie crust out of it.I also see alot of people are from the UK. I am from Florida USA. UK is on my bucket list.

Hello every one. I am so exited about this. I made a shopping list today and dragged the family to Wal-Mart. I did not find every thing I was looking for, but at least I am on a great start. Had my first meal from my Menu and It was great. It did not leave me hungry for more. It was surprisingly satisfying. It is now 1:29 am and I am not raiding the fridge. This is great. Today better food in the house. Tomorrow I will work on time management to make time for all 6 meals. 298lb today. Who knows what it will be next week?

    Dear UK members,
We have just expanded the list of shops that carry the foods we recommend. Please note that all the foods are found in both the US and the UK, but some may be new to many people, and so appear to be entirely “foreign”.
Don’t lose hope! They will become familiar soon enough, and your body will thank you for it.
Here is a link to the expanded list:

Where To Buy in the UK?

If you have any further suggestions feel free to contact-us via the link at the bottom of this page.
As mentioned, we will continue to adjust the program, recipes and applications to your liking, so stay tuned.

This is a great link for people in the Uk. I live in Italy and am having a hard time finding stuff here. Getting down as I’m not sure if the meat options are right, can find any of the bread options especially yet 🙁

    Hi1
I like what you said, PattyBowker, how this lifeboat has turned into a cruise ship! Great way of seeing this journey, a ship full of like minded people out to lose weight but still having fun.
This diet has all the foods I love thanks to the questionnaire we are asked to fill out at the beginning.
I have so much weight to lose it feels daunting and somewhat impossible. I am trying to keep positive by daily ready the “newbies”.
