MemberBev…what is a Pommie? I’m assuming a Brit? I’ll have to tell Diane that this is her new identity. I keep telling her that she doesn’t speak correct English, but then she throws it back at me that we (Americans) are the ones who changed the language! lol
Raddison…I like all of your suggestions! Thanks for the additional info!
I purchased those supplements today that is suppose to help your metabolism. It was advertised through TDC, so I’m taking it at face value. I am one who has a stubborn metabolism and just can’t seem to lose any weight, so I’m hoping this will produce the hormone that will accomplish that! Again, wish me luck! I really want this to work!

MemberHaha…KATIE…yes a “Pommie” is a Brit. In Australia it can be an affectionate term or a derogatory term just like “Yankee? I used them in an affectionate way. Not sure what other term Americans are called. And I wonder what you guys call us Aussies? Must be something…..lol.
APENSA…don’t be afraid of the “dog box” mate…isn’t it just a place for contemplation? Lol….
RADDISON…all I can say it is just as well the snow can be cleared away before it melts into a pool of water around that lovely barbie area of yours. It would certainly be a change for us to have to cook in a scene like that…and it would be fun just once as long as we could keep warm enough!!! Thanks for all the info mate.
Busy day coming…but I am going back to bed for an hour. Not sleeping too well with that mask on my face at night…but I must be getting a good sleep when I get there. Have a evening everyone…Bev.

MemberSeaborne….Just as I thought. I just got kicked from the dog house to the lion’s den. I’ll just have to drop the whole thing……has nothing to do with dieting anyway. I made a bad choice evidently….boy, what else is new.

MemberSEA SALT: when using sea salt, remember it has no iodine in it and that is necessary for our body.

MemberKATIE…what did you purchase. I just can’t afford all the extras, let alone the food! Our tight budget is getting tighter and tighter lately. Let us know how it goes…my metablolism is pretty stubborn too.

MemberHaha BERNIE53…No you are not the only one on a budget…I haven’t seen quail on my menu, and if I had I would have laughed my head off!!! Chicken is expensive enough…and fish even though it is caught locally!! We have to catch our own, which doesn’t happen, or get some from our son-in-law which is very fortunate for us. Hope you go well…Bev.

MemberHello Everyone finally I get to write a few. We are have close to a ft snow out there. Had to share I am on my second week with my new eating habits. Everything is going well I love the tomato broccoli cheesy potato bake I added cooked chicken, wonderful abosolutely geat!!. It makes alot also tried the sweet potato carrot soup, (very blan) so had to spice it up with assorted spices like hot pepper spice anything to spice it up I could find in the cupboard perfect with pita. and then the Morrocan Hot Lentil Soup delicious!! I love it also added crushed peppers in this too. Perfect to bring to work on a winter’s day. I am getting use to these meals really am. I still have groceries missing and figure will get them the next time we do groceries. These recipes make alot so I freeze some for quick meals when going to work. Other that than that slowly getting my sleep back had a hard time last week. Yes the menu is alot of food but find out its to keep you from being hungry reaching for those cookies and chips!! Good week to everyone until the next time I get a break. Thank you everyone for responding in helping with my questions.
Asherwin: you state we can’t eat potato’s?? The recipes ask for potatoes, don’t get discouraged take try these meals you will find some you like and some you can adjust to your taste. I am new to this program its eating foods good for us. good luck to you hang in there ok.
Now I am off to check coffee postings I had questions last week. take care everyone and have a great week.March 1, 2013 at 3:48 am #9529apensa

MemberAPENSA: I’m sorry!

MemberCHIA: sea salt is natural product and contains multiple minerals not included in processed salt. Iodine is added because they remove everything else. If you eat fish regularly in your diet you don’t need additional iodine.
Seaborngirl: I also have a budget, I want to eat helthy but it has to be reasonable in price. Whenever I make suggestions, the ingredients mentionned are off the shelf at your regular supermarket. On a different subject, I hope you will able to find a better mask for your apnea treatments. It must be really hard to sleep with this predicament.
apensa: Sometime I Wonder if your just not being overly dramatic. As an adult you know you are responsible for your own actions. Take your pill and get on with life. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa…
