Hi, willissm713. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past, it may take your body a while to get used to normal amounts of food. You can push this along by adjusting your physical activity level. If you are currently not exercising, this can help; if you are only exercising a little, perhaps consider adding time each exercise day, and more exercise days per week. If you have been working out for a fairly long time, you muscles may have become complacent, and it may help to introduce new exercises to wake up new muscles or combine cardo with weight training – even add short bursts of intense exercise in a steady routine, i.e. 30 seconds of jogging or uphill every 5 minutes during a steady walk. If you have recently started exercising, it could be that you are building muscle, which is heavier than fat, and so will result in you being more fit even if the scale doesn’t move – so check to see if you are feeling or looking differently or if your clothes are looser, as this will be more reliable than the scale.
If you are still stagnant in another few weeks, or have other issues to bring up here, please do repost, and I would be happy to work with you.

I’m hoping that’s my problem as well, as far as it taking time for my body to adjust. I was eating a lot of sugar in my diet for a few years, as well as processed foods. I’ve been eating only lean meats, fruits, veggies and whole grain products for almost 3 weeks and my weight keeps fluctuating between 155 and 158. I don’t exercise a lot but i am pretty active.

Hi, Nicole. I see from your numbers that you are not very overweight – sometimes this can actually make things rather challenging. If you have been active in the same way for a while, it could be that your muscles are complacent and not burning energy the same way. Take a peak at the measures I suggested for willis – these may help.

Thank you Sharon. Even though my weight hasn’t really changed, my pants do feel a little more loose. My BMI is 25, so i’m right at the mark of being overweight. I’ve had a really rough marriage which caused emotional eating, and now I’m ready to feel good about myself again. I live in AZ so it’s hard to do outdoor activities in the summer because of how hot it is. Can you recommend some good indoor activities?

Hi, Nicole. Congratulations on your progress. Regarding the emotional eating issue, you are in good company here. You may wish to take advantage of the Groups (see the link above) to connect with people who can lend some support, as well as benefit from your experience.
If you don’t have formal exercise equipment at home, you can make use of your own gravity to do leg lifts (upright, sitting, or laying on your back) or just walking in place, or heavy objects to do weightlifting. Crunches are also recommended, taking care not to strain your back, of course (and if you have any medical issues, it is best if you first consult with a health care professional). If you like to watch TV or movies, this can help you lose track of the time. If you are interested in guidance videos, Customer Service (accessible through the “Contact Us” link below) can help you.

I lost 2 lbs in my first week then another 2 midweek, but today I’ve put those 2 back on again (story of my life!)I’m not very mobile having been in hospital for ages with leg problems but I’ve bought a pedal exerciser.I find it difficult to get on with some of the foods and for the first time ever I’m getting an acidy tummy. What can I do?

Hi, Ardeen. Sorry to read about your leg troubles, and of your acidy stomach. Good for you for getting a pedal exerciser! Remember that you can also work your arms to get a well-rounded workout. With what is your acid stomach associated? A feeling of fullness? A certain food? It may help if you can get a sense of what the cause may be. If you need to cut back on food portions because of your drop in activity, that may help. If you would like some help with this, please do repost.
