Re Brown Rice Pasta and Broccoli Medley recipe. The recipe calls for one pound (450 gm) pasta. To halve the recipe I made half the box (I assumed 227 gm). How many CUPS of dry pasta would this be? Two weeks later and we’re still eating Brown Rice Pasta & Broccoli Medley. I need to convert grams to cups to end up with 4 cups of COOKED pasta. I know it’s not rocket science, so why can’t I do this? Help!
Hi, citykitty. Each pasta is a little different (and the difference is greater depending on how firm or soft you like your finished pasta), but generally, each ounce is about 1/4 cup dry and yields 1/2 cup cooked.
Thanks! I know I would have got there eventually, but your answer sure is timely and helpful. CK
