1) Is it ok to buy the organic baked beans or when the menu planner says baked beans, natural does that mean to make them ourselves?
2) When they say a tablespoon of dressing does that mean any dressing? Ranch, caesar, etc?
3) How do I know if substituting out another of your recipes has the same percent of protein/carb,etc then what my menu plan says?
Hi, Melissa. Below are answers to your questions:
1) Both are great
2) Yes, though we hope that you apply the same criteria as in #1 above.
3) Many of our recipes have the exchanges listed, and you can compare that to your menu pattern, which you can see when you click on “Exchange view” in the toolbar above your finished menu. If you are using a recipe that does not yet have exchanges listed, just go by the general type of food and portion size. Either way, don’t worry too much about being very precise – there is wiggle room.
