kippeMemberHi, is there a way to simplify some of the snacks by saying have this many crabs with this much protein?
Also, I noticed that the largest snack seems to be in the morning, is there a reason this should not be at night?
Why are nuts not a snack food?
ThanksJanuary 21, 2015 at 2:59 am #26113
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, kippe. Of course! Click on the “Exchange mode” icon in the toolbar above your finished menu, and you will see just that.
As for the largest snack being in the morning, it is to match the amount of fuel with the higher level of activity during the day. Having heavier intake at night when people tend to be less active can be a major contributor to weight issues.
Regarding nuts, they absolutely are a snack food, and one of our most recommended ones.January 21, 2015 at 3:15 am #26117
kippeMemberThanks, when I look at my menu I cannot put nuts into the snack category. Why is that?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, kippe. Believe it or not, it’s because you are so close to a healthy goal weight, so it is trying to lighten your menu. Just ignore it and have half a handful of nuts (1/4 cup or 1 ounce) with the fruit or vegetable in your snack instead of the rest.
