Although they are high in potassium I often hear on the Internet and TV that we should not be eating them. I notice that they are not on your fruit list. Is this something we should avoid? I’ve never made a smoothie without one.
Hi, Catmarie. Bananas are actually wonderful, they are just considered to be a more concentrated source of sugar than most other fruits – therefore, they are not in the menu list if you noted a “Low Sugar” diet in your profile. If you eat them, note that 1/2 a banana is equal to a whole fruit.
Thanks for the tip. I have heard of people just eating half a banana and now I know why.
