I make a great bean salad:DRAIN AND RINSE ALL BEANS, drain and chop all other ingredients: wax beans(yellow string beans),green beans, light red kidney beans, dark red kidney beans, white kidney beans, artichoke hearts, water chestnuts, palm hearts, pimento, dried onion flakes, chopped dried garlic, black olives, green olives, celery, canned corn. Cover the onion flakes and garlic with enough black olive juice to soften. If you wish, add sweetner to taste. Add olive oil and white vinegar to taste, chili powder, salt , pepper. The longer it sits the better it “gits”. The beans, water chestnuts, palm have a low GI rating. Hate garbanso beans YUCK!. Be creative!!!! I eat this salad for lunch or dinner. You get filled up and stay filled up. You can add fresh chopped tomatoes and cucumber just before serving. Cukes don’t do well, they will get yucky, so add just before serving. If you are on blood thinners, just omit all the green items. BE CREATIVE! ENJOY! The olive oil will thicken, so just give it a good stir before serving.

Hi, Ms. Parks. The recipe looks great. I would suggest you add it to the Club recipe collection: click here http://www.trimdownclub.com/view-recipes/ and scroll down to “+Add New Recipe” and enter.
