solo2453MemberI recently got into sprouting beans and came across these beautiful handmade terracotta sprouters. It’s so rare to find something like this that is hand made these days and not only do they look nice in the kitchen, the results have been brilliant too. I’ve so far grown adzuki, mung, alfalfa and green lentils. The terracotta holds just the right amount of moisture to sprout the beans/seeds perfectly every time. If you go to http://www.claylike.co.uk you can buy them direct (you will pay more if you buy them through Amazon). Also, Lucia at Claylike is very kind and helpful 🙂 Happy sprouting!

Ossie-SharonMemberThanks for that!!! Sprouting is so important, but can be intimidating for the unexperienced.

solo2453MemberAs I’m totally rubbish at gardening in general, I’m definitely qualified to say that sprouting is incredibly easy! All you do is soak whatever you want to sprout for the specified time (I bought “The Sprouting Book” by Ann Wigmore, which has everything you need to know in it)then put them into the terracotta trays, water twice a day and in 3-5 days, depending on the ambient temperature, you’ll have a nice little crop of sprouts for your salads or for liquidizing to drink. I have 3 x 2 level Gaia sprouters and they produce enough for about a week.
