I was wondering if I can drink milk in the morning with my breakfast? I know that it calls for it sometimes with the granola or oatmeal but can I have any extra? Are there other beverages other than water that are acceptable?
If you use skim milk and don’t overdo it, absolutely! Green, red, or white teas, especially with a twist of lemon, are best, but any type of herb tea is good, as is soda water with a sqeeze of any kind of natural citrus. Fresh-squeezed juices (i.e., in “juicing”) are OK once in a while, but be sure to count them as fruits (1/2 cup = 1 fruit exchange).
