My gym has a digital handheld body fat meter that I’ve been using on a monthly basis. The good news is that I’m now in the teens! 19.2% body fat. I’ve been losing about 1% a month. Is this a healthy rate for a 42 year old male?
If I keep on this plan, which I will, what body fat percentage is attainable? I’d like to get to 15-16% if possible, but I don’t want to do any extreme dieting. One gym member is a competitive body builder and his nutrition is like a robot….almost always Tilapia and hazelnut oil. Yuck.
Hi, tperazzo. Congratulations! Yes, your rate of loss is very healthy, and hopefully it will translate to permanence!! Yes, 15-16% is possible, but it depends more on your physical activity than the specifics in your diet if your diet is healthy overall.
