Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Brenda. Green tea and green coffee (green coffee is usually in supplement form) are especially good for this, as are cinnamon, capsaicin (in red pepper spices), and raspberries. There is some thought that nuts may be good for this, especially almonds.
All in all, however, exercise is best – if you get your muscles working on a regular basis, you can boost your metabolism and burn fat even at rest.March 9, 2014 at 10:20 am #18495
marplemissMemberThanks Sharon, will have a go with the items you suggest. Cannot exercise at the moment, as I have a muscle problem in my right leg – I get X-rays done tomorrow, so hope they can sort me out. Once again, many thanks. Brenda

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Brenda. Sorry to read about your leg! I wish you a speedy recovery.
In the meantime, even working your arms can be a big help, gentle sit-ups (you don’t have to pull up all the way, just enough to feel something in your gut muscles), etc…March 9, 2014 at 4:08 pm #18497
NatnofatMemberGood question Brenda. I just joined yesterday and find this all so overwhelming. I realize the benefits of green tea are great, so I am trying to incorporate green tea into my routine now. My only concern is that I can’t drink it without honey. Sharon will the honey void the benefits of the green Tea . I am not a tea, coffee or pop drinker so I find the tea a bit bitter.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, NatNoFat. Not necessarily. It all comes down to amounts – a teaspoon of honey in a cup of tea, especially if you’re only drinking a few cups a day.

RubytwoshoesMemberPlease tell me if it’s ok to use water enhancer (just a few drops) in my water. I need to drink more water but don’t want to jeopardize my weight loss.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Rubytwoshoes. There is quite a wide range. Which one are you using?
