Ive been doing this plan for a week and find that I enjoy eating this way. I can honestly say that my sugar cravings have disappeared. I do have a concern. Seems like some days I can have a lot of bread. I LOVE bread so this not a complaint. I haven’t lost any weight and I feel pretty good. Will the bread slow down progress?
Hi, Cbsure. I’m glad to read you’re doing well!
Bread is a source of carbohydrates like any other, so it shouldn’t interfere with weight loss more than another source.
If you are concerned about a lack of weight loss, there are a couple of options. First, you can try substituting some starchy “carb” exchanges with “protein” exchanges. Second, you can try adding physical activity into the mix – if you are already doing this and/or would like more guidance here, please do repost here, and I would be happy to help. Third, it may be worth considering having your thyroid checked, as sometimes diabetics have issues with this organ that can interfere with weight loss but be easily managed.
