Hello All, I’m a newbie. Breakfasts have always been tricky I’m not really into cereals, except porridge with water, semi skimmed milk only in tea and coffee. I like crunchy oats with live yogurt and a bit of juice but now think that this might be quite high in sugar. Have now started with gluten free bread to avoid regular wheat bread. Suggestions for alternative breakfasts that work well would be fab. Thanks
Hi, Debby. Hopefully you saw my response in a different forum thread, but if not, I\’m posting here as well. Porridge is excellent if it is based on whole grains. Belvita Crunchy Oats are also great (2 bisuits is a carb exchange), as is live yogurt. As for the juice, if you can make it yourself by blending whole fruit and adding a little water, then that is perfect.
Other breakfast options include bread with cheese and other spreads (such as avocado), eggs, whole fruit, and of course cold cereals such as Shreddies and Weetabix or Oatabix. However, if you have found something you like and can get it to be as healthy as possible, just go for it 🙂
