MemberHi, Jenny. We don’t work with calories in this program, but rather with meeting your nutritional needs. I can give you the approximate macronutrient information for each of your meals, as follows:
Breakfast: 13-15 g protein, 45-50 g carbohydrate, 5-10 g fat
AM Snack: 10 g protein, 30 g carb, 5 g fat
Lunch: 21 g protein, 25 g carb, 15 g fat
PM Snack: 10 g protein, 15 g carb, 5 g fat
Dinner: 22 g protein, 35 g carb, 15 g fat
Eve Snack: 10 g protein, 15 g carb, 10 g fat
Total: 86-88 g protein, 165-170 g carb, 55-60 g fatSeptember 20, 2015 at 4:05 pm #31723JennyNadine

MemberFor protein and carbs there are 4 calories per gram. For fat there are 9 calories per gram. Hope this helps.

MemberHi pkkrlb thanks but what I wondered was when you go into the exchange mode for eg. 1 cup of whole cow organic milk = 1 carb and 1 pro How do you work this out.? What is 1 carbohydrate is this one gram so their for 4 calories and another 4 calories for the protein. So 8 calories altogether? Not sure if this is making any sense. Thanks

MemberHi, Jenny. No, the exchanges are not the total numbers. The translation is as follows:
1 carb exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 3 grams of protein
1 protein exchange = 7 grams of protein + up to 5 grams of fat
1 fat exchange = 5 grams of fat
1 fruit exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates
1 vegetable exchange = 5 grams of carbohydrates + up to 2 grams of protein
1 sweet exchange = up to 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 5 grams of fat
1 free exchange = up to 5 grams of carbohydrates or up to 2 grams of protein or fat
Hope that clarifies things:)September 26, 2015 at 2:09 pm #31824JennyNadine
