I am a newbie and happened to calculate calories in my first day menu plan. I am used to eating 1200 calories and am concerned that my menu calculates out to 1755 calories. I know I am not supposed to be counting calories…… Obviously what I was doing prior wasn’t working so that’s why I am here and maybe I just need to trust the system ?
Hi, Michb. 1200 calories is a very low amount, and not generally sustainable for most people (and so is often a recipe for rebound weight gain). If you are at least a little physically active, the extra calories can help get your metabolism back up to where it needs to be, and you can enjoy life (by life, I mean good food without panic).
