Tagged: Can I stop eating when I'm full
Hi! I am new to TDC, and started on the programme today.
I have struggled with the food today – the amount we need to eat per meal with snacks included has been alot for me, and I’ve only actually managed 2 meals today with one snack.
Do I have to eat everything on the Daily Meal Plan, i.e. is it nutritionally calculated for my daily intake, or can I stop when I’m full?
Hi, SMarsh, and welcome! I’m glad to read you’re not hungry. No, you don’t have to fight it, we’d rather you stay in tune with your hunger and satiety signals. The menu is calculated for your nutritional needs, but there is some wiggle room. The fact that you eat at least 3 times per day is already great. Some advice: do try to get in at least 5 total fruit/vegetable servings and 3 calcium-rich foods each day; when all else fails, favor the produce and proteins over the rest.
