MemberHi, angchali. The type of weight loss achieved by replacing carbs with meats is not considered healthy weight loss, and is generally not sustainable – it is rapid because it is essentially poisoning the system, and the weight frequently returns, sometimes more than was loss. This program is actually quite low in carbs (40-45% of energy, compared to 50-65% in most regular diets). The body requires a certain level of carbs to properly burn fats.
Lean meat is recommended due to the lower level of “bad” fats compared to regular meats. Regarding prawns, they do have considerably more cholesterol and less omega-3 fats than fatty fish, but crab can be a positive addition to one’s diet.June 17, 2013 at 7:18 pm #12584angchali
MemberThank you very much Ossie Sharon. Thank you for your detail reply. I like this program because it guide us to choose balanced and healthy foods. moreover, it gives lot of clear information about why you need this type of food and why it is not recommend to choose certain kind of food.it explains the science of food. some of my frinds fellow other programs that tell just only cut down your portion and keep starving. those progams don’t tell the proper diet and we can’t keep longterm, but trimdown club do a excellent job. Thank you. I have got so much information about correct carb, sugar and oil, so we can make smart choices. it is useful for lifelong healthy diet and healthy living.

ParticipantI am in the need of some help and guidance here. My doctor today wants me for the next two weeks to eat no bread, pasta, potatoes, sodas and sugar. I need a little support. I am allowed to eat all fruits and veggies even those higher in sugar like peas, corn and carrots.
