MemberWhen I have 2 servings of vegetables on my menu (sometimes 1 serving), I click on it for more information on which vegetables I can choose from. The first column is limited to serving size, second column is “free”. Which column can I pick from and if I can pick from second column, how much will fulfill this part of the menu?

MemberHi, msvoboda222. A serving of vegetables is generally considered to be 1 cup raw or 1/2 cup cooked – however, the current menu allows for 1 cup cooked even from the “limited” first column, and you are encouraged to have at least 1 cup from the “free” vegetables.

MemberI’ve been wondering the same thing. I really prefer a lot of the “free” veggies, but I’ve been forcing myself to eat from the “limited” column and not allowing myself to count the free veggies as a serving of veggies. I think the wording on veggies list is a bit confusing – so I’m glad to hear this!! 🙂

MemberI am new to the program. Is it necessary to eat all of the food for a specific meal or snack?

MemberHi, mediatorsam. If it’s too much for you, then you can cut back on starchy carbs a little. Try to keep the protein and produce as much as possible.

MemberHi, Chere. In the personal Menu Planner (the right-most option here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner), you will see buttons with the various food groups a few inches down from the top of the page – click on “Vegetables” to see the lists for non-starchy vegetables. For starchy vegetables, see the subcategory under “Carbohydrates.”

MemberDo you have to eat exact items on the meal planner or can you rotate items?

MemberHi, RVers. You absolutely can rotate them.
