Is this oil as good or better than olive oil to cook vegetables/meat with
i think they’re both great. Coconut oil (from what I’ve read/understand) is more effective in “burning fat” tho. I personally feel (but could be wrong) that coconut oil is “slightly healthier” but that’s not to say Olive Oil isn’t healthy. I’d try using them both and see which one tastes better? As per coconut oil, I take 2 tblspn of that daily now due to the great things it does for your thyroid (from what I read).
For a treat/snack, I’ll do the “Macaroni Grill”-thing. I’ll drip some olive oil on a plate and take a slice of gluten-free bread and dip it into the Olive Oil (just as the Macaroni Grill restaurant does). For my thyroid disorder, gluten free bread and high ‘good’ fats is helping me. Although it tastes great with the Ezekiel bread too.
I love coconut oil, but it is not a high heat oil. So I have burned one or two things. I think olive oil is best for sauteing
