MemberI like to have a cup of coffee in the morning, I just read on the non dairy creamer, Coffee Mate in this case, that is has corn syrup solids, hydrogenated vegetable oil (coconut and/or palm kernal and/or soybean)…sugar phosphate….in reading this I’m not so sure I should be using this. I just signed for the program yesterday and am a bit overwhelmed with all of the information, it is a lot to read and absorb. Having said that should I stay away from this product and what product would you recommend?

MemberHi, to all. Regular (not non-fat) half-and-half is better than powdered whiteners, etc. The chemicals are worse for your weight loss than the little bit of extra calories. You can also use flavored plant-based milk substitutes – almond, rice, quinoa, etc. milks (just try to avoid any with many, many ingredients, especially “carageenan” if you can).

MemberDyann and I are in the same boat. In my search to replace my Hazelnut (chemical) creamer. I have tried a new product by Coffeemate called Natural Bliss. It does have 15 mg of sodium and 5g of sugar and 1.5g fat which is probably not so great but one step at a time. I only have 2 cups of coffee in the a.m. Any suggestions are welcome on further reducing the values that will also provide the same taste. I do enjoy almond milk and will consider hazelnut milk, if I can find it. 🙂

MemberHi, RPBeachGirl. In my opinion, nut milks are the very best creamers if you like those flavors; for an unflavored option, rice is the most popular.
