I understand the concept behind eating several small meals a day. But I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the amount of food that is suggested we eat. I feel like that is all I am doing is eating, and eating when I’m not hungry. I want to have healthier eating habits as well as loose weight, which is why I joined trimdown. So I guess here in lies my question, do I not count calories or carbs anymore? If I’m still full from my last snack or meal what do I do? Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. I joined with hope for something to help me loose weight. I work as a Nurse 12 hours shifts. maybe get a 1/2 lunch break and would be almost impossible to eat this often. What Do I Do!? Also to eat this way and buy all the ingredients needed to make this recipes will cost hundreds of dollars and hope that most don’t spoil before being used up (waste of money) costing more to replace.
My menu rates at 78 you stated should be atleast 80. what can I do to increase this?

You don’t have to follow all these recipes. In fact as a newbie, I had to go back and take out all the recipes and just put in the foods I had in my freezer and refrigerator and the foods I knew I WOULD eat!!! It does no good to put stuff in your menu you’ve never bought before and then when it comes time to eat it it takes too much time to fix or you haven’t bought it yet… There are a few things you have to change to be successful .. SWG bread is one of them that would be Ezeliel bread in the freezer section of your grocery store. or buy swg flour and make your own. You never have to count anything again!!!! The menu does it for you!! Isn’t that awesome? One more thing. , You get a free meal once a week to eat any thing you want and are craving. I can live like that . this is the first plan in my life I’ve stayed with because it is based on the food I like and we have a free meal. I can do anything for a week!! I have basically been on a starvation diet my whole life. It is so incredible that I get to eat ,with NO GUILT,.!! Amazing!! I hope you, too can really get excited about this lifestyle for it is extremely healthy!!! God bless Debbie

Hi, to all. Patie, since nurses usually can have beverages at the workstation, you can put your snacks in a thermos – we have recipes for shakes here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/?s=shake&post_type=recipe
    and soups here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe_type/soups/
Don’t worry about counting the exchanges there, just use whole foods – even if they’re cheap, just be sure they’re not processed.
To increase your rating, try to choose more of the foods in the lighter blues, if possible. Try to buy in bulk or volume to minimize costs – at Whole Foods Market or CostCo, for example.
