MemberI just joined and I’m not sure where to find a list of vegetables and how much is in a serving. Also what are the”free” spreads they keep talking about in the me us?

Memberive just started to, but in my meal planner when it says vegetables of your choice or “free” spreads there will be a icon behind that and if you click on that the lists come up

MemberThanks… That was way too easy. I thought that icon was for recipes and I wasn’t ready to deal with that yet.

MemberHi…
I was likewise very confused to start with. In fact I decided to spend the first week getting to know the site. to play around with menu choices and explore recipes etc as well as clearing out cupboards and going shopping!
I lost a kilo (about 2lb) on week 2 my first week eating TDC style but I have hit a plateau since then. I know this is partially due to an influx of house guests ?
I found the best way for me was to have a medium choice of foods on my list and settle for the same breakfast and the same lunch. After a while you get to learn which carbs you can swap without going back to the menu.
Another thing …I do not print out my menus…this means I can make alterations at any time during the day or the week.
Aiming to drop at least a pound this coming week ??August 30, 2015 at 10:47 pm #31231nancyga1129
MemberWhat do you do when you don’t like vegetables? Can I substitute v8 juice?

MemberI didn’t think I liked vegetables either but when I thought about it I don’t like cooked veggies so I eat them raw when it comes time for them

MemberHi, Nancy. That’s a great idea. If you can go for low-sodium V-8, even better. Other options are vegetable soups, hiding vegetables in foods such as stir-fries, etc.

MemberI have heard mentioned a list of food item substitutions. If I run out of a food, I would be able to substitute another that I may have on hand. I cannot find the mention of it or the list! Please help!
