I have both gluten and dairy allergies. When viewing the week one menus, I noticed a significant amount of dairy products listed. What is the best way to adjust the menus to accommodate my personal needs? Should I just leave out the dairy? Should I make a substitution that will better round out nutritional needs?

I just started out on this also — and I am also gluten-free and dairy-free and a vegetarian (the gluten and dairy are “sensitivities” but the vegetarian is just a choice — and I do sometimes eat fish and chicken as well…) But — I just substituted my almond milk for the regular milk, and my soy cheese (which is probably something I will need to find another substitute for or eliminate….) for the cheeses mentioned. I can also do goat milk and/or goat cheese — so that might be an option for you if you can tolerate that. I found I had to make lots of substitutions on the “generic” first week menu plans –but the printed menu plans helped me a lot with portion size — and I did lose about 4 more pounds! So, so far this is working great for me!

I’m also gluten and dairy free. If you go to your profile page, there is an option for dairy and gluten free. Click on these and if you plan your own menu under “Apps” you can accommodate for this, as the computer adjusts accordingly. There is an icon on the menu page an “apple” picture that says food choices. If you click on this you will get an entire food listing of all the main foods. I just clicked on the gluten and dairy free options , then clicked “Save and create menu”, and the computer does the work!! Try it , it’s such fun!!
