I started this crazy diet a week ago expecting some results. I followed it exactly with NO cheats, and I gained a half a pound!!!!! What gives and has anybody else experience this? I am VERY discouraged and about to give up as I’m not going to be miserable and not get any real results.

Hi! After 2 weeks I have just lost 1 lb. I know that I am a slow loser weight wise compared to many as I have eaten well for many years and have a more solid toned body than most at my weight. People do not see me as heavy as the scale says (all my life! I am embarased ever to tell my weight (since childhood!) = Women much fatter than me and in larger clothes often weight considerably less than me! — Some of us just have it harder to lose! I don’t stick exactly to the diet as my work schedule is not the norm and I am often unable to eat at the scheduled times. However, I work around it as best I am able. I have type 11 diabetes, too (now for over 20 yr.not on meds staying in what some call the pre-diabetic range, but which has been creaping up for no explainable reason lately) which doesn’t help. I have sibling and ancestors thin and tiny who are on diabetic meds or needles at a much younger age than me. So, we just have to deal with what we are given genetically, too! I’m 69 yr. and really tired of monitoring myself as I seem to have been doing forever. However, I don’t give up on anything easily and will keep trying! Regardless, I don’t let things make me feel miserable. It is what it is, so try to enjoy life and not worry too much about it all!

Hi, PinkBabyLee. I’m would be happy to do some brainstorming with you. Just a few questions.
Have you been on weight loss diets before? What types? What were the outcomes? When was the last one?
Also, some numbers: age, height, weight; and a sample day of the menu you get from the Menu Planner, and your level of physical activity.
I’ll run some calculations for you.
