MemberI think this is a question for Ossie: I’m looking for some good options for crackers to use at lunch and snacks. I already use Rye Crispbreads but I would like some variety. I am wondering if Dr Kracker’s Pumpkin Seed Cheddar Flatbread would be a good choice for a whole grain cracker. In fact, they have several products that I would use if I knew they would be a good choice for me on the TDC program. Their products are organic and here is the ingredient list for the pumpkin Seed Cheddar Flatbread: INGREDIENTS: ORGANIC WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, ORGANIC WHEAT FLOUR, ORGANIC CHEDDAR CHEESE (PASTEURIZED CULTURED MILK, SALT AND ENZYMES), ORGANIC PUMPKIN SEEDS, ORGANIC OATS, ORGANIC FLAXSEEDS, ORGANIC SUNFLOWER SEEDS, ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, ORGANIC CANOLA OIL, SEA SALT, FILTERED WATER, ORGANIC SESAME SEEDS, YEAST, ROSEMARY EXTRACT. Other stats:Calories: 100, Calories from Fat: 40, Total Fat 4g, Saturated Fat 1.5g,Trans Fat 0g, Cholesterol < 5mg, Sodium 180mg, Total Carbohydrate 11g, Dietary Fiber 4g, Sugars 0g, Protein 5g
If this would be a good choice, what would it count as far as exchanges? Thanks in advance!November 16, 2014 at 9:40 pm #24671Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Nettums. Those are great! One serving is equal to about 1/2 carb, 1/2 protein, and 1/2 fat exchange.
