MemberI’ve read recently that the whole “don’t eat before you go to bed” is a myth. from what I read, it’s actually good to eat high-protein food (a snack rather than a meal) like maybe an egg or broccoli/cauliflower or a few nuts before sleeping as the proteins will slowly digest while you’re sleeping. Still good for weight loss. Please jump in anyone if I’m wrong in saying that.
Also, I took a course recently on Low-T as I think I might suffer from that. I put on a lot of weight (160 to 223) due to my thyroid issues in the last 2-3 years so I’m on thyroid meds. However, since doing the low-T diet plus this (and cutting out sugar), I’m finding my energy is inceasing.
In the low-T course, the guy recommends 2-3 brazil nuts right before you go to bed. He calls them the super-food and they’re packed with selenium and other great nutrients. But he warns not to eat more than 2-4 daily or you could get selenium overdose.
He’s thin as a rail and eats 1-2 eggs and brazil nuts before bedtime. That may not work for everyone but the key is to eat “high protein” before you sleep according to him.
