I have read that estrogen dominance is a problem in our society and that we are bombarded by xenoestrogens in addition to estrogen caused by stress and weight gain. Some sites say to avoid soy and beans in general, and all phytoestrogens if we know we have a problem. Would you be comfortable suggesting foods that would be beneficial for someone with an estrogen dominance problem?
this was four years ago, and I see no answer. do beans and soy raise your estrogen? I use soy sauce instead of salt in a lot of my foods.
Phytoestrogens (as are found in soybeans, flaxseed, and red clover) have been found in research to be beneficial in grown women, especially post-menopause, as well as in issues of estrogen dominance (because they block extra steroidal estrogen from impacting your cells). They don’t raise estrogen.
