MemberRecently last June I had fusion surgery on my back. This was the third back surgery in about 15 years that ive had. I need to exercise but so far im a little scared to do anything other than walk. I heavy walk about a mile or so each day. Is there some other kind of strength training I can do to keep built up? That back thing really hurt so I do not want to take a chance of going thru that again… Im commited to this plan tho and so far ive been on it for about 5 days now and lost already 5 lbs. Rock on.. im very interested in seeing the replies on this…

MemberI can fast walk, and I have a punchin bag hanging in the shop which powers you up really fast, but I was really wondering about push-ups, sit-ups, etc with my back problems. I must say it is really in good shape tho as the surgery was back in June. I just don’t want to do anything that might put me back in BAD shape…lol

MemberHi, Tbone. Sorry for the delay. The best thing to do is to ask the healthcare professional familiar with your case what your limitations might be – especially because the specific location of the procedure in your spine can make all the difference, as can the degree of strength you have in your abdominal muscles).
