Memberlol, since subscribing to TrimDownClub, I’m getting daily emails with links to other people promoting their supplements, weight loss miracles, etc.. One such one today was a guy at biotrust selling CLA.
BellyTrim XP® — Advanced CLA Toning Supplement
I never did know about that being good for belly fat.
However, what confused me was his precursor to promoting the product. He said that wheat and grains are bad for you as far as keeping belly fat around and bad for your diet if you’re trying to lose weight. Same with oatmeal.
but yet I hear that Ezekiel bread is good for you. I eat 2-3 slices of that a day and sometimes have a serving of the non-GMO organic oatmeal. Now I’m confused. Is this or not good food for us to eat if trying to lose weight? So many contradictions out there from the various video promotions I get in the emails.
I’m just confused. Also, I never heard of the CLA(conjugated lenoleic acid) and the video says it’s superior for burning fat. The bioTrust site is sort of pricey on theirs but they say they have a patented formula. I’ve seen others advertised for almost half the price. Do brands really matter in this case?
thanks, Theron

MemberHi, I can say I have used Biotrust protein powder. The vanilla is by far the best I ever tasted. The quality is good. You get what you pay for as the saying goes. I also have used the bread and it to is also good. I did lose weight while using the protein powder and think I may go back to it again. My mistake was not sticking to a maintenance program after the weight loss and age. Will not be making that mistake again. I love bread always have. Sprouted grains are better.

Memberthanks eoberg for your reply.
I’m glad to hear you lost weight on their protein powder.
The “powder” is a short term? Do they promote using that for the long haul?
Well I still plan to eat the sprouted grain bread along with salads, eggs and nuts and fruits.
The one video from bioTrust (about their CLA pill) was saying (if I understood correctly) that grains were bad. Even sprouted grains. I will have to respectively ignore that part of the video and continue to eat a slice or two of the bread daily as it tastses good 🙂
Another thing I learned (thanks to this group) is that “low-fat”-stuff is not good. No more margerine, no more low-fat yogert or anything that says “low-fat”. Just keeps your body confused and hungry to eat more.
So now doing the high fat butter, olive oil, etc.. in small moderate quantities of course. have lose about 3 pounds in the last week or so.
thanks, Theron

MemberHi, tkousek. Grains aren’t bad for everyone, but there is a subset of people who don’t react well to them. Ezekiel is one of the best-digested types, so it’s great that you use it. Consider whether or not there is grain intolerance in your family and listen to your body.
