Member…please forgive the rambling but (hopefully) my words end up serving as therapy for me and maybe (if lucky) someone else.
I started this program about three months ago and dramatically lost 13 pounds almost (what seemed) overnight. I felt terrific, was active and was getting daily compliments. Then…I tore something in my knee while playing tennis. I quickly shifted back to a no exercise, all stress life-style…and the strict meal plan began losing to more and more cheese, white bread and carbs. Ugh.
So I’m back at the weight and the miserable feeling that caused me to start this program in the first place…hoping to get myself back to the man I was starting to become. It is simply a matter of deciding, “That’s Enough”….I choose happiness.

MemberHi, Johnny. Sorry to read about your tear.
You don’t have to keep up with anything “strict” to look after your health. The simplest thing is to just think of what you would normally do in a given situation/meal, and make it just a little better.
For example, choosing whole grain bread over whiten – it doesn’t have to be SWG if that is difficult to get, just whole grain.
If you like carbs, just choose better ones – without planning or going to special stores, just a little better than what you would automatically do.
Same with the cheese or whatever else is keeping the stress down.
If you want to post what your food shopping situation is like these days and list what is making up your menu these days, we can make suggestions to help keep you on the right track.
The last thing we want is for a healthy eating plan to seem too much to keep up in all situations. - AuthorPosts
