bd2486MemberHi Ossie – I got a reply that my husband, based on his age,wt, etc. would need 1/4 to 1/3 more of the menu items than me. However, he was finally able to open his own account ( after we found out he had to have a different email than me) but many of the items on his menu call for the same amounts as on mine. That doesn’t make sense as he’s taller and weights more than me. Why doesn’t his menu give him the increased amounts?
How do you create your own menu from scratch? He has chosen a menu and I would like to duplicate it in my account.February 12, 2015 at 7:09 am #26983
SupportKeymasterHi bd2486,
To create your own menu from scratch, follow the steps below:
1. Go to http://www.trimdownclub.com
2. On the top right corner of the homepage click Login
3. Enter your username and password (You can also use your email address as your username. If you lost or forgot your password, click Login and then choose “lost password.” Follow the steps on the screen to reset your password)
4. Once you are logged in, go to “Create a Menu”
5. To create a personal menu plan where you have the ability to choose your own foods, simply click on “START MENU PLANNER” (orange button to the right of the page). In addition, to learn how to use the Menu Planner, simply click on the following link: http://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner-tutorial/

bd2486MemberI know how to pick the foods I want on my menu, but what I’m trying to do is duplicate the menu that my husband already created on his account. Is the only way to do that is to go to the planner and choose the same foods as he did?

SupportKeymasterHi bd2486,
Yes, you will have to select the foods in your Menu Planner application. There isn’t an option to duplicate menu plans between 2 accounts.Best 🙂

bd2486MemberFinally found out how to duplicate my husband’s menu on his computer to mine. It takes some time, but to copy the menu you just click on the arrow of each meal on a menu you already have and replace the items with the ones on the menu you are trying to duplicate. That way you each have your correct portions. It only took me a month to figure that out!

bd2486MemberTo duplicate another menu from a family member, just go to a menu you have and click on the arrow for each meal and put in the items on their menu.

bd2486MemberOssiesharon, please help. I went to the trouble of duplicating my food choises with my husbands and then put in the menu he chose. The menu came out with the exact same portions as mine. That doesn’t make sencse as obviously, he’s bigger and taller and weighs more. I was told he would need 1/4 to 1/3 more than me. Why doesn’t the program allow for this? Thanks!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bd2486. The original advice of 1/4-1/3 more is correct. Tech support is looking into why your husband’s menu is so meager. Sorry about that, hang in there…

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bd2486. Tech support checked it out, and apparently your husband’s information is not up-to-date. Please tell him to be sure his height and weight are entered in his profile.
And please let me know if you notice further problems.February 26, 2015 at 5:11 pm #27460
bd2486MemberOssie-sharon – re: tach answer about why my husband’s menu comes up with the same portions for both of us. I already checked his profile and entered the correct info and updated it and the portions still came out the same. Thanks

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bd2486. We are continuing to look into it.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bd2486. In reviewing your husband’s records, it’s important to note that according to the most recent measurements provided, it would be best for him not to note a goal of weight loss, but rather maintenance – because technically, his weight is excellent. If he wants to get rid of fat, then exercise to “turn it into” muscle will not result in a change in the scale number, because muscle is heavier.
