I’m reading the shopping list. Is fat free sour cream, cream cheese ok or is the light or regular best?
Hi, jdwoodward. Low-fat is often preferable, as fat-free tends to “invite” all sorts of undesirable additives to help with the texture and color. If you can get pastured dairy, that is ideal.
Thanks, that’s what I thought, same with fat free half and half too? I’ve been using coconut milk creamer, is that OK?
Coconut milk creamer is probably better than non-fat creamer with artificial additives. Always be sure to read the label, though – you never know!
