The last thing I want to do is be negative. I just joined today and spent a lot of time looking through the website. Did the personal menu plan. I then went and put a days worth of meals into “My Fitness Pal” and the total calories came out to exactly what my BMR is. (Calories you need daily to maintain your weight). So, in order for this “eating plan” to be successful, you would need to exercise ALOT everyday. I am willing to do about 30-45 min of exercise a day, but I don’t like organized exercise and also really don’t have time for more. So far, I’m not seeing how I can be successful on this particular plan. It takes a lot of planning/shopping/food prep, etc.. I’ll have to give this more thought. I initially was attracted to it because I liked the meal planner. I liked how it would plan meals around what I liked. I need that kind of organization in my life to be successful. I think it might be really good as a nutritional guide to weight maintenance, but not loss. Comments?

I just signed up yesterday myself. I really liked the video that explained how blood sugar highs and lows effect how fat is stored in your body and how the combinations of food can help this common problem. Diet is the biggest thing in weight loss. Exercise is a smaller part of your weight loss success. To eat right it does take planning. Once you get in the swing of things it will become a lifestyle not a burden. IF you haven’t watched the video…DO. It explains a lot! Good Luck!

Hi, Galligar (and thanks, Jen!). Most “diet” plans have you eating much too little food, and this is not only unsustainable, but virtually guarantees that you will regain the weight. In our program, you eat normal amounts of food, and the high amount that you start with goes down as you lose weight. The amount of exercise you are willing to do looks excellent and adequate – no worries. Just note that if you have been on restrictive diets in the past, it may take your body a few weeks to get used to normal amounts of food again, but it is worth it for your health and ultimately maintenance of th weight you will lose.
The other challenges will get easier – just ease into the changes. You don’t have to make them all at once and you don’t have to be perfect, just do a little better each time, and the small changes will add up.
