I am a vegetarian. Don’t see any substitute for this? Can I take pills? If so how much?
Hi, Archanarath. Plant-based sources of omega-3s include flax seed, chia seed, almonds and almond oil, and walnuts among others. It isn’t the type in fish oils, but you maximize your body’s conversion by avoiding processed foods, which is what we recommend for many other health reasons.
If you are seeking a supplement, try algae-based EPA and DHA supplements, such as Nordic Naturals and Deva, available online and at health food stores.
