Hello, I signed up today. My menu planner says to take fish oils, 3 times a day. It does not say what fish oils or how much. I assume they mean something like cod liver oil, maybe a tsp per meal. Does anyone know?

Hi Blanchette, if you want to (basically) know (practically) all there is to know about ‘fish-oils’ go to:

    http://consumersguides.com/krill_oil_reviews2/index_a3.html

Just copy the link and paste in your browser. 😛

Welcome to the TDC . . . I’ve only been a part of this website for about 14 days – but it is great!! 😛

Hi DaisyDew, thank you for answering my question about fish oils. I am still finding my way around this site and it took me a while to find your response. That said, Whole Body Research Krill Oil is located in the US…do you know if they ship to the UK?…l cannot find an email address for them, just a 1-800# that works in the US or, the general consumers address…

    Hi Blanchette ~ 😛

I was wonderin’ what happened to you. Since you have the name Whole Body, I have to presume that you have been to the link I gave you.

Of the three (top) products that were researched, all three have: websites; “Contact Us” features and the availability to order on-line. Of the three, only Schiff MegaRed Omega-3 is available in stores. I live in a tiny town in Arizona (Star Valley) and Schiff is available at Walgreen’s & Wal-Mart (our only two ‘main’ stores). I have no way knowing if these stores are in your ‘neck-o-the-woods’ or not. However, whichever of the three you select to purchase from, when you enter your order; enter your personal information and then billing info, the order will then indicate the postage amount — or — indicate that they do not ship to your country.

Schiff is a manufacturer’s ‘name’ and highly advertised here in the states. If you would like to be informed as to the other twos’ disposition regarding on-line orders, and if in fact they ship to the UK, I would go up on-line to their website, click on: “Contact Us” and Email them your request for information. Meanwhile, I would check to see if any of your stores there, do in fact, carry Schiff products. I would reason that S&H to the UK from the US would really be expensive. [?] 🙁

Dr. Mercola Pure Antarctic Krill Oil — http://krilloil.mercola.com/krill-oil.html

The link will give you his website — however, I gave you a link that will (first) give you a video of the doctor explaining his research for his product (VERY informative) and when it has concluded, you may click on “Home” and begin your search for information from there. (PS: At his “HOME” page – scroll three-fourths the way down and read: “A Word from Dr. Mercola”. There you have the opportunity to subscribe to his on-line newsletter and when you do-so, you have ‘newsletter preferences’ to select from. This is an incredible newsletter! And if you have a pet — check-out his pet line products.) 😉 FYI: I do not purchase his Krill Oil — however — that does not mean that I do not tout his views and the information he brings to one in his newsletters — excellent/informative and genuinely (truly) interesting! 😛

Good luck in your quest! Glad to be of help to you — anytime . . . 😉

Hello DaisyDew! Thanks so much for all this information. I found you much quicker this time, although l still had to search around. Any ways, l have ordered the Krill (Whole Body Research) and surprisingly, they do not charge for shipping. Which means, l assume, that they have a distribution center in the UK or, on the Continent. So now…l am going to search for that support group you are talking about … Warmly, Blanchette

Hi again, Blanchette: 😛 The easiest way of finding the ‘topic-blogs’ you started or have chit-chatted in, after logging on, at the top of the page click on “Community”. You have begun chatting in: Nutrition & Diet. So click on: Nutrition & Diet – that will give you all the “Topics” being discussed and yours will ‘always’ be there – entitled: Fish Oils.

RE: Joining Groups — At the very top of the page click on: Groups – you will get a drop-down box of all the groups — then you may join by clicking on: “Join Group”. In the “Groups Directory”, you will find a United Kingdom TDC Members Group and a Wiltshire Weight Loss group too. The one I respond to is: Successful Beginnings and… – come join us. You may belong to as many ‘groups’ as you desire. 😉

One really great thing about belonging to a group is: When you post a question in the group area — you have many people that will “jump” in to answer your question and you won’t have to wait (long) for an answer.

I’m so glad you were able to find and order what you wanted! 😛

As you use the website, it becomes easier & easier. Be sure to ‘click-on’ the Apps at the top of the page too! Lots of information there too.

    Have a great day!

    Janie 😛
