Hi, Nain, and thanks, Jab1957! The Menu Planner is, of course, the best tool for that, as you can select the foods that work for you and avoid those that don’t. Are you familiar with a FODMAP diet?

    Ossie-Sharon,

All I know about the FODMAP diet is the list of Foods and there are a lot of them I am not familiar with or how to cook or prepare them. I was asked to go on it by my Doctor yet when I rang the Surgery to ask to see a Dietrician which I know they have I was declined one. The diet is for medical reasons. I will be glad with whatever help I can get to get started.

Great, Nain! Recognizing the foods and how they personally affect you is a huge step. I am more than happy to be your dietitian here.
I can send you some materials for assessing how you eat now and how you react to certain foods – this would also be a good opportunity to note with which foods you are unfamiliar. This will give me tools to provide some guidance. If you don’t have time to fill these out, that’s fine (just let me know).
In the meantime (or instead), you can list here the foods with which you are unfamiliar, and I would be happy to go through them and get back to you.

Hi, Grace (Nain). Thanks for your e-mail – I responded there.
