Foods not on list

    I am new to the program. I have some questions of foods not listed. Vinegars, feta cheese, chicken sausages, and black beans, are these foods acceptable? Where do you ask these kinds of questions? Can anyone assist?

    Hi, Cmr6663. This is the best place to ask those questions! Vinegars are in the “Free Foods” list in the “Free” category; in the Protein category, feta cheese is considered “Cheese Goat milk, Soft” and chicken sausage would be included in “Poultry, Sausage, Natural, Uncured”; and black beans are listed as “Beans, Black” in the Carbohydrates category

    Hi, Maryann. Click on the “My Food Choices” icon in the toolbar above your menu, and you will be linked to the food lists. You can find fruit selections when you click on the “Fruit” button, and the rest according to what I posted for Cmr663.

    It takes me almost 2 hours to eat my meal Sometimes is that OK

    Hi, Roino. That depends. What is the reason? Does is result in you essentially eating non-stop if you have multiple meals throughout the day? If so, I am happy to work with you on a way to adjust your menu and make sure you get all of your nutrition.

    I do get everything in from the menu its just sometimes when meal is bigger my next meal is within a half hour of finishing the last 1 im retired so its no problem as long as im home just was worried bout if it wl still work

    It happens with the meals my snacks are sm enough it only takes me bout 30 minutes but the snacks are eaten almost on top of meals

    Can free vegetables count as your veg choice or is it added

    Hi, Roino. That’s fine then – as long as it doesn’t result in you eating without any breaks. With regard to the vegetables, “free” ones are in addition to those on your menu.
